Hello Stamplings!
How about some poinsettia inspiration today? As you will see, I've never met a poinsettia stamp or stencil I don't like. There are several poinspirations below, so I'll hush up. I think they are all pretty self-exploratory as most of them are simple one-layer cards, but let me know if you have any questions about any of them. I love that there is no right or wrong way to color or design with a poinsettia!

Challenges
- #1: The Color Throwdown: red, green, and white.
- #3: HLS December Watercolor Challenge: AG, optional Christmas.
- #4: Day of the Month Card Club: Poinsettia!
- #5 and #6: Pixie's Snippets Playground: Use those snippets!
- #7: SSS Christmas Card Day.
- #8: AAA Cards: Along the Edge (optional twist: time travel).
I have more poinsettia stamps from Magenta and Stamplorations and Poppystamps and The Ton, but I didn't get to them this year. Because we see them only at Christmas, poinsettias are a beautiful floral symbol of the holiday!

Such a beautiful array of poinsettia cards! And to think you have even more lying in wait for their turn. (Of course, I have lots, too, but have been having too much fun with my newest Altenew poinsettia, which is a lot like your WM one...) While I have no favourites, I will thank you for linking one up to Happy Little Stampers for the Watercolour challenge, that led me here to see them all!
ReplyDeleteSorry, I'm always on Santa's naughty list...I have a permanent position. I am, however, impressed with your floral goodness and these amazing cards. You do have quite an array of poinsettia images to choose from and they are all beautiful.

ReplyDeleteJust pick me up off the floor and then put me in my chair so I can just sit here and gaze at the beauty of ALL those poinsettia masterpieces. They are all so very beautiful. I'll just take my time to be blown away by these pieces of art. I can do that because it is going to be over 40c here today and i would just melt if it wasn't for AC which will be working overtime to try and keep me cool. Oh Darnell these are the most beautiful poinsettia's ever. Hope Hammy helped you in some small way - maybe the lovely splatters while he had a paintbrush in his mouth. Merry Christmas my friend.

Gosh, the colored poinsettias look gorgeous in every color combination! Also love the added splatter detail.
ReplyDeleteThe gold and black version is clean and elegant, and without coloring I’m guessing it is a great tip for a quicker version.
So many poinsettias and such beautiful cards!! Thanks so much for playing along at the Color Throwdown!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful work, Darnell! I especially love the first 4 cards--keep staring at them!
ReplyDeleteAt first it was that green 'Tis the Season' poinsettia that stole my heart... until I saw the fabulous black and white one - oh my, that one is certainly stunning Darnell. You really have treated us with this wonderful collection of cards. Hugs, Annie xx
ReplyDeleteI'm in poinsettia heaven! :) You have the most fabulous collection of poinsettia images. And more in your cupboard. No wonder you run out of room in the play house. :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE all of these cards, Dolly. Your watercolouring is amazing on the first four cards. The image look fabulous in different colours. Always great to do one stencil and cut the image to get two cards. Awesome! Your gold heat embossed poinsettia are so elegant. And, last but not least, your gorgeous poinsettia heat embossed in gold on black with the red die-cut sentiment ... LOVE it! It has a special place of honour on my mantel. Love, Lolly
These are all so lovely! I would not be able to pick a favorite. Just think I didn't even get my ONE poinsettia stamp out this year. I must get it out ater Christmas to make some cards for next year with it. You have inspired me

ReplyDeleteI just kept scrolling and saw more and more beautiful poinsettias, what a beautiful job you did with all of the cards. The splatters are perfect as well.
ReplyDeleteYour poinsettia are all so gorgeous, Darnell, but I'm smitten with the one from IO. I love the way it covers the entire card front. I think I'll be searching for that one.
ReplyDeleteWonderful poinsettia cards Darnell - I love each one! And your snippets ones are great of course. You might want to check out the Grand Draw in the Playground sometime - it runs until 4th January. Knowing you, you might well have one of the prizes I'm offering folk three chances of winning - think poinsettia :)
ReplyDeleteHugs - and Merry Christmas -
Di xx
Wow what a gorgeous lot of poinsettias you have got. I think I especially like the Impression Obsession one although they are all utterly gorgeous. Love the way you have coloured them in too. Didn't buy one this year as we will be away part of the Christmas period but if I had I would be stuck as to which colour I wanted. Red is always a first choice at Christmas but I love the pink ones and the white ones too.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Christmas, my Best Wishes to you and yours (not forgetting Hammy of course).
hugs, Neet xxx
Wow....What a stunning array of amazing poinsettias. The colouring and colours are fabulous on the first four stunning cards. Great use of the stencil from Loll and the black card stock on the final two are so very striking and classy x. You have spoilt us Darnell.....Thank you x

ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! Great job with the poinsettia stamps (guess I need to add to my collection). I love the watercolour with the metallic heat embossing. They make things very fancy and "expensive-looking". Thanks for joining us at Happy Little Stampers - Watercolour challenge.
