Hello Stamplings!
I hope this finds you doing well! Welcome to March!
I'm going to jump right in today. Lots to cover and I'm starting with this card I made to show solidarity with the people of Ukraine.
Bright blue and yellow are the colors of the Ukrainian flag and the sunflower is their national flower. Many of you know talented Blogland card artist, Yana Smakula. She is living in this nightmare right now and has information on her blog about how you can help if you are able. It has been heartening to see so much of the world standing strong and united against this madness and war.
I have been intrigued to learn the background of Ukrainian President Zelenskyy and how he came into office. The egos of politicians are well-known, so I was quite moved to read that in his inaugural address, President Zelenskyy told his Cabinet and others not to put his portrait on their office walls. He urged them instead to hang photos of their children and to look at their children's faces each time they made a decision. Wow. Refreshing.
I feel a rant coming on, but that is not why you visit ~ well, not for that kind of rant anyway! So let's return to the language of cards, which is a language of love. The rest of the cards today were schparked by the challenge at AAA Cards where the prompt is to use one-ninth of an A2 card panel, plus your favorite animal.
Onefer
Hmmm? Which animal is my favorite?! As we used to say when we were kids, I'll give you three guesses and the first two don't count. 😂 Needless to say, Hammy took center stage in the middle space, being the star he is! This hamster stamp and die are from the Birthday Wishing set from Colorado Craft. I love that his arms are outstretched to give you a hug!
Twofer
This wee porcupine is as old as the SU hills and I still love him. He came with his own "hang in there" sediment, but I used this unmarked NBUS sediment instead because of the size and the font.
Vellum One/Ninth Tool
I can't remember who taught me back in 2013 how to make a template to help place images and sediments to make them more "pleasing" to the eye. To make a template, you take a piece of vellum the same size as an A2 card (4.25 x 5.5) and divide it into nine equal rectangles. Where the rectangles intersect is where your eye naturally rests and for uber CAS designs, the template helps keep your elements where you want them.
In the photo above, you can see a portion of my template off to the side. Over the years I've made several because, being vellum, they seem to slip away and hide.
Threefer
This NBUS nurse and sediment are part of the Call the Doctor set by Your Next Stamp.
When I began blogging, this uber duber QACAS style of card design was my go-to style. I have evolved over the years to making designs that aren't quite so minimalist, so I had a lot of fun returning to (mostly) one-layer super simple cards. If I have more time this week, I hope to make six more cards with six different stamps for six different occasions to occupy the six remaining spaces of the nine-spot template, but for now I stopped with the nurse.
Ouch!
And I stopped with the nurse to let you know that in six days I will be in surgery getting a completely new right hip! I've been in pain and unable to walk any distance without a cane since June of last year, so you can imagine how becited I am to finally get it fixed! (That's all the complaining I will do because I know there are many of you who have had to wait much longer for surgery and my heart goes out to you.) I am really looking forward to being able to take my daily walks again ~ and so is Nellie!
I'm not sure when I'll be back with a post, but as I recover I hope to be able to visit and comment.
Enjoy the days ahead! No, seriously, enjoy! LITS!*
*Life is too short!
Challenges
- AAA Cards: Game 209 ~ 1/9th + favorite animal. Onefer.
- Color Hues: Joining with Seize the Birthday to flood the internet with #cards for Ukraine. Thank you, ladies! Sunflower.
- Krafty Chicks: All occasions. Twofer.
- Less is More: OLC +JOW (one-layer card plus just one word). Threefer.
- SSS Wednesday: Anything goes. Sunflower.
Love that you made a sunflower card with thoughts for the Ukrainians. I was thinking of doing that same thing today....but had not thought of using the Ukrainian flag colors. I am so heartbroken for their country.
ReplyDeleteMany prayers for a successful "ship" replacement! :) So glad you are able to get this surgery. Will be praying for a complete and uncomplicated recovery period.

Loving these 'rule of nine' cards with their sweet animals. All the very best for your operation, with hopes for a speedy and uncomplicated recovery. Hugs
ReplyDeleteI came for your gorgeous sunflowers found in the Color Hues gallery, D - but will leave with a smile! Your 1/9th cards are fabulous! Such an impact with so little real estate!
ReplyDeleteTake good care of yourself - one doesn't say 'break a leg' to someone having surgery, right?
xx
What a fabulous bunch of cards. I love your 1/9ths and look forward to the rest of the collection. YOur blue and yellow sunflowers are a perfect stand with Ukraine. My heart breaks for that country.
ReplyDeleteSending good thoughts and holding prayers for a successful surgery and a speedy uncomplicated recovery. Hugs.
So many wonderful things in this post, Dolly! Starting with the blue and yellow sunflowers. LOVE them! What a lovely way to show support for Ukraine! I see a few others are also doing this and I am inspired. Hope to make a card soon to join all of you!
ReplyDeleteLOVE your sweet cards with the 1/9th designs. How fun! I loved CAS style from the time I was introduced back in 2011 ... thank you Miss Boo of Splitcoaststampers! All three of your cards are adorable and uplifting, even the nurse with the big needle. :) Great work Dolly!
I wish you the very best for your surgery and recovery, my sweet friend. It's been long enough in pain and I'm so happy you will be "fixed up" soon. :) Love you to bits ... Lolly.
What a fabulous array of cards Darnell, especially love the one featuring Hammy! Don't let it go to his head!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you've been in such pain but hope that the surgery is successful and you are skipping to the playhouse very soon. x
Hi Darnell, your card for Ukraine is gorgeous, as are your other cards.
ReplyDeleteI hope your surgery goes well, and you'll be skipping around like a sprimg lamb once again, take care, Kate x
Where to start? I'm happy to know you'll be getting some hip relief soon (after recovery time). My friend had a hip replacement at a young age and it went very well. We are all very upset about what is happening in Ukraine... I dare not get started. My mind is reeling with thoughts I could express, but I'll spare you. You've made a beautiful card to illustrate your support. The following ultra-CAS cards are very fun and adorable! The nurse especially gives me a giggle!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, let me thank you for the Guest Slot at NBUS this month and you are my second "odd #" to visit ... your cards are, as always totally fun and fabulous and I LOVE your little hamster!
ReplyDeleteSecondly, I wish you all the very best with your impending surgery ... I know from experience it is likely to be several weeks post-op before you can sit comfortably at your PC and you will be busy doing those exercises and getting walking again, first on crutches and then with a stick - I wish you every success with graduating from one to the other and then neither in good time, be well, Darnell
Kathyk
Fun cards! Love the Ukraine with the colors, and those fun CAS cards! So cute. Good luck and happy recouping on your surgery!! ♥
ReplyDeleteLove those CAS cards, and the tribute card is darling! Keeping you in my prayers, and hoping your recovery is swift! Most of my friends have fared very well with hip replacement---may it be true for you as well.
ReplyDeleteI have never heard that vellum grid tip and it makes a lot of sense. Thanks for sharing. Best of luck with your surgery. Keep up with your physical therapy and you'll do well.
ReplyDeleteAs always, Your cards are wonderful...
ReplyDeleteHope all goes well with your surgery and you heal very quickly...
Please take care...You will be in our thoughts and prayers...Jill
The blue and yellow sunflowers are beautiful and just perfect to show support for Ukraine during these awful times! A great selection of uber CAS cards too Darnell and I love the sweet Hammy and then the cute and fun porcupine and of course the nurse with the syringe..looks a little like a cool cocktail not a nasty injection..lol. Glad that you will soon be having the hip surgery and able to enjoy your walks, and look forward to seeing you back here soon. x
ReplyDeleteYour sunflowers for the people of Ukraine are simply lovely, Darnell. Those CAS cards of yours are absolutely adorable, love your template idea! You take care, sweet freind, You will be in my thoughts and prayers XO
ReplyDeleteOh, my goodness, Darnell, I hope all goes well with your surgery. A couple of the women in our family (they are in our age range) have had hips replaced, and both surgeries went really well. One of them, who had both a hip and a knee replaced, said the hip was a much easier recovery. So I wish the same for you.
ReplyDeleteYour cards today are delightful. The sunflowers brought me to tears as I thought of the suffering that is happening in Ukraine. I pray the united effort of the NATO members will stop it before there is any more destruction. After tearing up, I looked at your three remaining cards and smiled. The images may be tiny, but they generate big grins.
Stay strong, my friend, and sail through your operation with your usual good humor and aplomb. I will be thinking of you and sending healing vibes.
Oh you make the cutest cas cards, Darnell! I bet Hammy gives the best hugs too! Sending positive healing vibes for a speedy recovery - I'm sure you'll be back at it in no time! hugs x
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice to see blue and yellow taking over blogland in support of the Ukrainian people, yes what a leader and what an amazing speech to the EU government.
ReplyDeleteYour Uber CAS cards are amazing, but funny how our styles change.
Good luck with the hip replacement, you are going to feel so much better when it's over. don't forget to log roll out of bed and no bending more than 90 deg at the hip :)
Beautiful card in support of Ukraine! Best wishes for a successful and uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery 🙏🏻😊🚶🏼♀️❤️
ReplyDeleteOh Goodness! Hugs and prayers to you, first and foremost!
ReplyDeleteSecondly, your first card is fabulous -- love those gorgeous flowers, and YES to solidarity!
Lastly, your Uber CAS cards are great, and I've never seen the 9 segments before, maybe a similar idea but not addressed in the same manner.
Your first card Darnell is stunning love the colours..my heart goes out to all those who are suffering this terrible nightmare...
ReplyDeleteYour other cards are just so cute....
Wishing you all the for your hip op and I expect they will have you up and walking in no time..
take care my friend..sending you a big HUG
Anne
Great cards !!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you will recover fast !!!
Take care !!!
groeten Ineke
Such a wonderful array of cards, Darnell. Love the first one. I saw a fragment part of the president Zelensky's address to the European Parliament on TV last night and it was very impressive, including the standing ovation that followed. I'm hoping to create my own yellow & blue card this week using the freebie Sunflower digi from Jane's Doodles.
ReplyDeleteYour super CAS cards are fabulous as well, especially Hammy of course.
I, too, have a vellum template to help me with the rule of thirds.
So happy to hear that your surgery will finally take place.
Wishing you a successful surgery and a speedy recovery.
Marianne x
Your cards are wonderful, Darnell. Thanks for the tip about the template, too. I never heard of making one, but it is so smart. You are so supportive and encouraging to everyone, I'm sure you will be smothered in love as you recover from your surgery. I'm sorry to know you've been in pain for so long and I hope you recover quickly. Nellie will be so "becited" to have her walking buddy again, that is for sure! Hugs to you!
ReplyDeletea wonderful array of cards, all of them so cute. Best wishes with your hip surgery. I had both mine replaced and had no issues at all with a very speedy recovery. Hopefully you will have that same experience. hugs
ReplyDeleteFabulous collection of cards Darnell, especially your lovely flowers for Ukraine. Will keep you in my prayers for a speedy recovery from your hip surgery! Hugs, Donna

ReplyDeleteYour sunflowers for the people of Ukraine are simply lovely, Darnell. Thanks so much for joining us at Color Hues!
ReplyDeleteThose CAS cards of yours are absolutely adorable, love your template idea! You take care, sweet friend, You will be in my thoughts and prayers XO
Beautiful sunflower card to remember Ukraine. It is such a hopeless feeling to really be able to do anything but pray. There is just so much injustice in the world. Okay, so we weren't going to rant! But I can't help it.
ReplyDeleteOn to your CAS cards, they are all so cute. I have trouble leaving all that empty space and just want to keep adding. Praying for a successful surgery and rehab for your hip.
Loving how you incorporated the colors of the the Ukraine plus their national flower to show solidarity. Zelenskyy impresses me too on so many levels. It's been so hard to read Yana's blog messages and imagine her fear for her country. I go from tears to fiery rage at the drop of a hat.
ReplyDeleteLooking at your CAS cards was a treat. It's like watching stop action film seeing the images jump around the cards. What fun.
Wishing you tons of luck and sending lots of positive thoughts on your surgery including a successful, fast recovery. I'll be thinking of you.
Love your cards Darnell. The Hammy card gave me a chuckle. Sending warm and gentle hugs for a successful surgery and speedy recovery. Mwah!
ReplyDeleteHello Darnell.
ReplyDeleteStrength in kindness! My heart grows as I see the whole world defend Ukraine. We are all committed to helping, and we, Poles, are particularly aware that a free Ukraine is also a guarantor of Poland's security. So when I see the world, what sanctions it imposes on the criminal and his entourage, I am proud that people are able to mobilize themselves in such difficult times.
Darnell, I love your Hamma and I was very amused by your card. The whole set of the gallery today is wonderful. You've had a busy time lately :-)
I keep my fingers crossed for your surgery, may it be fully functional as soon as possible. I am sending blessings.
hugs,
BożenA
Super card and great post, with the tips!
ReplyDeleteGood luck next week and update when you can!
What a jam-packed post of fabulous cards! LOVE the sunflower card, and those 1/9th cards are so cute! (And kind of scary for this layer loving card maker! LOL!) All the best for a speedy recovery on your new hip! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteOh Darnell, I am happy your hip surgery is scheduled and pray all goes smoothly and without complications so you and Nellie can get back to walking! Love your "old" CAS style cards and the lovely card for the Ukraine. Take care, dear friend!
ReplyDeleteDarnell so glad I popped by today to see your amazing array of beautiful cards and glass to hear hammy is still going strong he surely must be in the Guinness Book of Records for the longest living hamster. Was sad to hear that you have been in so much pain I wish you well for your surgery and hope you have a quick recovery.
ReplyDeleteMarie
Wonderful cards, Darnell - love them all but especially the hang-in-there one. Argh - poor Yana and people of Ukraine, sending prayers! And prayers to you as you head into surgery!!
ReplyDeleteI am loving the cards for Ukraine and this one is beautiful. Using their colors and sunflowers is a wonderful tribute to all in Ukraine. How sad this is going on. The 1/9th cards are so sweet. Thanks for sharing that tip. I'm so relieved you are getting the hip done and will be getting back to your sassy self. We need you here. My prayers are with you for the surgery and recovery.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards. I am sorry you are in pain and am sending healing thoughts for a quick recovery from hip surgery
ReplyDeleteWhat a bright and beautiful way to show support for Ukraine! The situation there is heart breaking. I do love your tiny designs with big impact! Hammy is of course my favorite, the hedgie makes me smile and the nurse made me laugh out loud! I'll be with you in spirit during the next few weeks. Mwah!
ReplyDeleteWhew - lots to comment on here! Love the blue and yellow of the sunflower card - wonderful for solidarity with Ukraine. Thanks for the link to Yana Smakula's blog and that information about President Zelensky - a truly admirable man.
ReplyDeleteYour 1/9th cards are amazing - I just can't bring myself to be that minimalist!
I'm glad you're getting your surgery done. A friend of mine said it gave her a new lease on life. The man across the street has been waiting for his new hip for ages - he's in so much pain, poor guy. Wishing you a speedy recovery!
Happy New Hip day. I'm 9 days out from a new knee. Must be something in the stamping water. Best wishes for a speedy recovery..... hugs from MD
ReplyDeleteLove your sunflower card using the Ukraine flag colors that shows your support and is an example of support from all over the world...such a tragic and wrong invasion by Putin and his $$$ followers. Enough said...
ReplyDeleteSo thankful you will soon be getting your hip surgery and I am wishing you a full recovery. I am sure you will be a very proactive Physical Therapy patient:-) Take care and thank you for sharing your sweet QCAS cards too. Wishing you a quick as possible healing time, my dear friend. Love and big Hugs...Nancy
Wonderful, wonderful cards Darnell, and so wonderful to see Hammy featured there - he is such a loving wee fellow!
ReplyDeleteSop pleased for your sake to hear you have the surgery scheduled - Praying it all goes well for you. I am currently staying with a friend who had surgery last week and has an arm in plaster... I am chief cook and bottle washer.
Ukraine breaks my heart - that is horrible what is happening there :(
Stay safe
Blessings
Maxine
Your Ukraine support card is so wonderful Darnell, it says it all. As for their President, I admire how he has taken charge and uplifted the Ukraine people, by his loyalty to his Country. Thank you for the link to Yana's blog. I only know her from her videos!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of the vellum, I'll have to take a closer look at the technique. Your CAS cards are so lovely and cute too.
A Speedy recovery with your new hip, so many have had wonderful results and feeling so much better with having the operation.
Keep safe
Faith x
Beautiful cards, Darnell xoxo
ReplyDeleteYour card for Ukraine is very special, blue and yellow sunflowers are perfect and the spotty background paper helps make the whole thing pop. I love your little CAS cards too and shall look forward to seeing the rest of the 9 positions used. I must remember to use that trick. Perhaps it would help is I made myself one of those templates. Very good luck with your surgery. I know you are eager to have it but I sure it comes with some trepidation as well. I wish you a smooth and speedy journey through the process xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a great card you've made in honor and support of Ukraine. What a sad situation. I love your simple little 1/9 cards, too. So fun and cute. Best of luck to you with your surgery!!
ReplyDeleteSuper card the flower one in special colours! So fresh! Herethe daffodils are blooming and the hyacints will follow soon... The CAS cards are a bit to CAs foe me, but I like the stamps!
ReplyDeleteGlad that you are getting your hip done; it will be hard and you will have to do a lot of practicing! I know my mother did and she has gained so much back after the op! Wish you strenght and a lot of energy, but most of all the good spirit that your bady will need to come through this! Hugs, Gerrina
Your peace card packs a punch Darnell and absolutely perfect x.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the hug from Hammy, what a darling he is x. Fun 'ouch' card and loved the hang on in there card too x.
So sorry you are in pain Darnell and I shall send positive vibes across the ocean to you for a speedy recovery and daily walks with the adorable Nellie x. Thinking of you my friend ❤
Your cards are so adorable! Sending prayers to you for a speedy recovery on your hip replacement
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Marilyn💖
First off, I love your beautiful card o show solidarity to the people of Ukraine, my heart just cries for them, so awful and senseless what they are going through. As if the world hasn't been through enough in the past two years. I do love how everyone is coming together for them though. I am also very glad you posted about their President. He is amazing and I love what he did with the photo thing! He is also right down there fighting for his country, how many Presidents has you saw fight like that? He is indeed refreshing. What being a President is all about. A type of President the US needs.
ReplyDeleteOh this is so cool, I've never seen or learned about using one-ninth of a card before! I love it! Of course Hammy would be front and center and I love how he has his arms out reached ready to give big hugs....so stinkin cute!! A great way to use little stamps. OMGosh, I love the hedgie hanging by his tail...this sized sentiment is the perfect size. So cute! Thank you Auntie, for telling how to make a template for this type of card. I will definitely have to give this a try, not sure I will succeed but it will be fun to try! Love the nurse, so funny, but so cute. Her googly eyes kill me, so love that! You have the best stamps!
Oh Auntie, I am so happy you are able to get your surgery so you can go on walks with Nellie once again! Going under is never fun, but it gives you something to look forward.....walking longer distances again! My prayers will be with you during the surgery and well as the recovery. Love and huge hugs, Brenda
I absolutely love your sunflower card, Darnell. You echo what most of us are thinking about Ukraine. It's just heartbreaking. You are definitely the queen of CAS cards and these are fabulous! And thank you for the reminder about the rules of 9 and the grid--I need to make one of those!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear that you've been in such pain. That's certainly challenging, but I'm happy for you that you will get this fixed! I'm praying that your surgery will go exactly as planned and that you will be feeling perky as can be after your recovery! Sending prayers, and a big virtual hug to you! Carol :)
Such a lovely card using the colors for Ukraine! It is so senseless what is going on in their country! I pray for things to improve for them. I pray for peace. And, your CAS cards are super cute! So sorry to hear about your hip pain, but happy to hear that you will get relief very soon. I pray that you have a speedy recovery and you’re up and skipping along very soon! Take care, hugs!!
ReplyDeleteOf course Hammy is your favorite animal and that stamp is a particularly cute rendition of him, Darnell. I wish I had more small stamps with me to partake of that challenge. I've missed my craft stash so much while wintering.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your hip surgery. They do such miraculous things with body parts these days and hips are one of the easiest to recover from so I've heard. My prayers will be with you as you recover.
Hi Darnell, Your sunflower card is just as lovely as can be! And as for your CAS cards! They are sooooooo cute! The best I have seen lately and the types of cards that I so struggle with! White space is so hard for me. As for your upcoming surgery, I have a note on my desk to wish you well tomorrow, but since I am here, perhaps a day early is okay! My thoughts and prayers will be with you and the doctors and I know you are anxious to have this behind you! Best of Luck. My father and sister both said that hips are easier than knees. In case you didn't know that. Thanks also for the tidbit of info on Zelensky! What a great man! Thanks for joining us for our Special Challenge at Color Hues and huge cyber hugs!
ReplyDeleteHope your surgery goes well. hugs Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteFabulous cards Darnell hugs Sue x
ReplyDeleteGreat cards. Thanks for sharing your card with us on the AAA Cards Challenge. Prayers that your surgery goes well!
ReplyDeleteDarnell you card for the Ukraine is so beautiful for the Color Hues, the sunflowers with blue leaves are so lovely. Of course your critter cards are too cute. Wishing you a very speedy and comfortable recovery from your hip surgery. You'll be back to those morning walks before you know it.
ReplyDeleteSorry I'm so late with my comment. I'm thinking of you today. I know, everything will be well. I love all your cards. The one for the Ukraine is super nice with with a great message. I know the peace is all this poor people needs now. I do like all your CAS designs. Hammy is the star always you put him on the card. :-) Little porcupine is cute with the heart. The sentiment matches perfectly. I hope, there is not to much OUCH at the mommet.
ReplyDeleteGet well soon! Hugs, Sonja
Hi Darnell, Fab cards.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the op. My brother had a hip replacement. He was up and about later in the day and allowed home two days later. He did have to take it very steady for some weeks, but recovered just fine. Sue
Thanks for sharing your template, I will definitely make myself one! Your uber CAS style cards are the cutest!
ReplyDeleteI also love your sunflower card and how you kept to the two colors of the flag coloring it.
Gorgeous card in support of Ukraine, Darnell! It’s so heartwarming to see how the rest of the world is responding. I included my card in a donation package, but we’re having trouble dropping it off anywhere, drop-off points have been inundated!
ReplyDeleteGreat CAS ninth cards, those images just pop!
Best wishes for your surgery, and for a speedy recovery.
😘
So much to stay!
ReplyDeleteLove your support for Ukraine card. Just when I thought the world couldn't get any crazier!!
All your other cards are fabulous too. Love them.
I too have a template but I used quilters template plastic and it is still going strong.
And lastly you are sure to have had your op by now cause I am way behind! Hope it was a great success and you are starting a quick recovery and in no time you are out taking Nellie for her walks again.
Just popping in at almost midnight cos orating for you dea dear Darnell to hang in there.
ReplyDeleteAnd pray it’s not too much ouch 🙏🙏🙏 that the recovery is truly wondrous to behold.
Thanks for info on vellum template, may or may not remember or use but do know what you mean on placement as it’s critical in calligraphy and the eye is trickier than reality!
Thanks for Sharing, God bless and keep you safe, and all those you love, hugs Shaz in Oz.x

Been thinking of you so much dear Darnell! By now you should be limbering up for your first marathon! Seriously, I do hope it all went well and that you make a quick recovery. Love your cards - and who knew about the One Ninth technique - not me for sure! Your card for Ukraine is perfect - although little Hammy certainly is a star!
ReplyDeleteTake care
Love and hugs

All of your cards are perfect! Beautiful card celebrating the colors for the Ukranian flag. I was so impressed with the comment from President Zelenskyy about the photo! What a wonderful person he is, and president!
ReplyDeleteI hope that this finds you on the mend and your healing is staying the right course!
Wishing you a speedy recovery!
Sending good vibes from SoCal!
I’m just trying to catch up with all the blog posts I’ve missed. My Reading List doesn’t seem list all the new posts from the blogs I follow and together with the other ongoing problems I’ve had with Google/Blogger it seems like I’ve missed a lot of posts, including yours.
ReplyDeleteHope your surgery went well and that you make speedy and full recovery.
I love all your cards, especially the first one in support of the people of Ukraine. It’s been lovely to see all the blue and yellow creations around blogland lately. I’m sure we all hope that this war will end soon. xx
Big hello from Australia Darnell, and hope that your op went well and that you are on the recovery road and then soon on the footpath with Nellie, back walking. As always your card are fabulous, simple CAS or fussy, I love your style... so hugs coming and keep well, Robyn
ReplyDeleteHello there... Your cards are wonderful! I know that we are all going through our own troubles but the war is heartbreaking...We are all united in the way we feel.
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy for you that you will be getting a brand spanking new hip! Go you! Well there will be no stopping you huh? Take good care and here's to a speedy recovery my friend - Thanks ever so much for your prayers and your support, sending hugs
I've been thinking about you and hoping that your recovery is going on schedule, and that Nellie and the Mister are taking excellent care of you. Be sure to take full advantage while you can, because once you get your new hip up to speed, you'll probably be too busy catching up with things to take a breath. Big hugs and best wishes to you!
ReplyDeleteI'm so far behind in commenting so forgive me for being late to wish you a speedy recovery. However having a titanium right hip myself, I know how long this type of recovery can be. the best advice I can give you is to keep up with your physical therapy!!! I've had mine for just short of ten years... Forty years of running wore it out but I wouldn't change a thing. I miss my runs but it's great to be pain free.
ReplyDeleteYour cards are fabulous!!!! Beautiful card for Ukraine as well as the CAS designs.
Rest up! Thinking of you.
I’m so sorry I’m so late to say wishing you a speedy recovery! I do hope you’re being good, and that you’ll be pain free, as you have suffered so much. Thanks for the nine grid tip, something else I’ve learnt! Take care and hope to see you back here soon xxx
ReplyDeleteI too am late to see your news. I hope your surgery went well and that you'll be pain free and mobile very soon! All of your cards are amazing! Such talent! Hugs x
ReplyDeleteLove that you made a sunflower card for the Ukrainians, we are making them too for welcoming Ukrainians in Slovenia. I am devastated that we have a war in Europe again, we are all still wounded from the Balkans wars ....
ReplyDeleteI hope your surgery went well, thinking of you and sending hugs xx
