Hello Stamplings!
I hope you're having a great week! On this side of the globe we are happily splitting our time between flowers outside in the garden and flowers inside our craft rooms. (Sorry if Mother Nature hasn't let you outside yet where you live.) I think the feel of dirt on our fingers from gardening gives us renewed energy when we go inside and get ink on our fingers. Well, I mean, you should wash the dirt off first.
My crafty journey continues ...

Those who follow Color Hues will recognize why my flowers are blue and tan. Now that I see it on the screen, I realize they might look like they are starting to die๐, but in person the unexpected look is really pretty, especially with Hammy's winking.
The NBUS flowers are from "Bouquet of Thanks" by Simon Says Stamp. The subtle background is a stencil from SSS's winter floral layering set, the sediment is from "Critter Celebration" by Penny Black, and the sweet hummer is from the "Hovering By" set by Taylored Expressions.
I'm also sharing at Seize the Birthday (Butterflies or Hummingbirds [I couldn't miss this one!]), Jaydee's challenge at The Paper Players (Birds and/or Bees), and Addicted to Stamps and More (Birthdays).

In many countries, Sunday is Mother's Day and lots of floral card designs are being made this week! The NBUS floral stamp used here on my one-layer card is from "Window Box Blooms" by Simon Says Stamp. I painted with watercolor pencils and Hammy added lots of winking shimmer.
I'm sharing this card at Less Is More (OLC/Off-Centre), Colorful Options (pink), and Four Seasons (spring).
Happy Mother's Day!
~~~
Enjoy your day! No, seriously, enjoy! LITS!* Happy Mother's Day to all you moms out there! And gentle hugs to all of you who have an especially hard time on this day because you have lost your mom or your child.๐
*Life is too short!
ReplyDeleteOk, your cards are awesome, but those grandsons are awesomer! They are SO. GROWN. UP. When did that happen? Now back to the cards--hummingbirds are such lovely creatures, and when combined with your pretty flowers, they make a knock-out card. The boxes of tulips are beautiful, too. Mine are finally getting buds on them. I can hardly wait for them to bloom.
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful cards..I thought the flowers matched the hummingbird so well and that the flowers looked completely alive...otherwise the hummer would not be interested..right?!?
ReplyDeleteYour 2nd card was a beautiful CAS design made with Love:-) Love the photo of your kids...can't believe the twins are now taller than their mom and dad and they look so handsome all dolled up for the prom:-) TFS and Happy Mother's Day, my friend. Love and Hugs...Nancy
What a wonderful family photo and those boys, so tall and handsome and dressed to the nines for the prom. x
ReplyDeleteAdam and Henry clean up well! I can't believe they're taller than Dan now. I remember photos of two little boys helping grandma make cards, where did they go? I love your inspiration to work through NBUS flowers. That's a great way to spring board your creativity and both of these cards are beautiful! The blue and tan is pretty and artistic - I didn't see decaying flowers, lol! I love your placement of the flower boxes with those fresh spring tulips!
ReplyDeleteI love your tan and blue flowers, they work a treat, love the little tan spots too. Those boys look completely grown, how time flies xx
