Imagination!

Hello Stamplings!

How are you? I hope you got something out of this past week, which is just a blur to me thanks to migraines and lots of appointments. We are so happy to finally be getting our new backyard fence installed, but it has been hard to concentrate with the hammering and the good-looking carpenters just outside my Playhouse window.

Ahem, where was I?
Sometimes I buy stamps on sale long after they are released and even then they stay on NBUS Mountain for years more. Slap! Such is the case with this little bear from MFT's "Sprinkling You With Love." He was delighted to finally be given some love. He was die-cut, colored with my Ziggies, popped up, and googly-eyed.

After wards, I went to my pp drawer (😲) looking for some grassy and or flowery paper to plant him on. Hence the froggy pp. What better scene than a schparkly froggy in the rain? Hammy added the raindrops and the clouds finished it off. The sediment is from the same set. I like that I can use this card for many occasions.

Now you may think, "Oh, dear, this time she has gone too far with a giant frog who is bigger than the bear!

Well ... really though? I mean, if you think about it, you've got a bear holding an umbrella and on top of the umbrella is a bunny holding an umbrella! Given the imagination it took to draw that image, I don't think the artist will mind that I paired her bear with this goofy frog!

  2. Cute card Darnell, I sometimes don't see stamps until they are almost retired! Better late than never though :) I don't think I'd need an excuse to visit that shower either! Happy Mother's Day too, Cathy x

  5. They make a cute trio on your any occasion card, Darnell! I'll bet all the hammering didn't help your migraines... maybe you need a shower ;)

  6. Cute little bear and fun frog! Your scene is definitely useful for numerous occasions and fun no matter what.

Hope your Mother's Day is wonderful, and those pesky migraines stay away! On the other hand, less hammering and more showering might help :o)

  7. So sorry to learn that you've struggled with those wretched headaches (don't want to even say the proper name!) of late. I have family members who struggle with them, too, so I understand how debilitating they can be. I'm glad you're feeling better, however, and able to tackle your NBUS pile. I don't think mine will ever get smaller, much less disappear. Your card made me smile. I agree that there is no need to keep your critters in perspective. They live in an alternate universe that we all wish we could escape to from time to time. So they can be any size you darn well want to make them. Big hugs and stay well.

  8. Your card is so fun, Dolly! I bet you were smiling the whole time you were making it. Hope you are feeling better now, my friend. Oh, and you have the BEST doctor ... that's my kind of bar! :) Love, Lolly

Loving your whimsical card Darnell - and it certainly looks as though you and Hammy certainly had fun creating it.
As for those builders - umm errr, eyes down to the desk Mrs! ;)

  13. Your card is just cuteness overload and it depicts our coming weather forecast for the next few days, so it's perfect! Sorry about the migraines and I hope they soon subside. Do have a very happy Mother's day and try to stay out of that cool bar for your own safety LOL

  15. Hi Darnell, first of all thank you so much for your very kind comment on my notebook! :)
Then, I'm sorry you have had migraine, but glad that now the fence is already done and there no more carpenters around your loved nest/playhouse.
Your card looks so fun with the cute frog and bear plus bunny, the googling eyes are a great touch! Love the sentiment :)
Your funny photo makes me giggle so much! How clever pun! :D :D

  18. A fantastic card Darnell and a great photo to. I think if I had a bar like that in my shower I would not want to get out.

  19. What a fun card and you are right. Who cares that the frog is big and bear small. Love your reasoning. So sorry to hear that you have lost some time to migraines, such horrible things xx

  20. I hope you are feeling much better now and wishing you a Happy Mother's Day..or should I say hoppy instead of happy..lol, which sounds more appropriate with your adorable frog and the cute bear and rabbit companion looking quite bright and pretty in the rain. Such a fun card Darnell. I'm not sure I would want my shower filled with these particular spirits but give me a G&T and I would be more than happy..lol. x

  21. Oh migraines! Glad they have passed you by! We have workers in all week so I am not expecting much of a good time! Birthday won’t be much fun…..or card arrived, I haven’t opened but thank you xx This card is adorable, I love the sweet image you built up and these googly eyes are such fun xx

  22. Love the reasoning behind the addition of the schparkly frog Darnell, makes perfect sense to me!! Sorry to hear you have been bothered by migraine, they are nasty things and so debilitating. I hope the good looking carpenters made you feel a little better!! xx

  23. Oh migraines are just so awful Darnell, and yes the banging certainly wouldn't have helped, don't know about the good looking carpenters though, I thought that might have soothed the headaches.
Anyhoo, I love your little card, it's so sweet, and so colourful.
Thanks for your visit and your words of encouragement. I'll be staying with blogger for the next wee while anyway. I don't like FB, and only go on to follow certain groups. I do however post my cards on Instagram, it takes less time as I don't say all that much, I would never share what's going on in my life on it.
I do hope you are feeling much better by now and the headaches have quietened down, take care, Kate x

    Happy Mother's Day!

  25. Artisitc license they call it, Darnell, but I think my license expired because I have a problem with things out of proportion. Now that doesn't mean I can't enjoy what others create because your card is a hoot with that goofy frog and darling bear and bunny. Maybe the rain is radioactive and enlarged the frog. See I do have an imagination. lol

  26. Nothing cuter than a frog - and love his tongue too. Great card!
AND.....we all need that bar in the shower! Happy Mom's Day.

  27. That's what's great about being cardmakers, we can take liberty! And this is cute as can be. Wow, who knew you could get drunk in the shower!

  28. Sorry to hear of your troublesome migraines, I hope they're taking a back seat now. As for your card and it's description, I really giggled. But it makes so much sense. SO, I'm with you on the frog. Love this bright happy card.

  30. Love this fun critter card, Darnell and I think your cute frog is eying up the bee as a snack! The card makes me smile as does your funny - I want a doctor like that lol! I hope you are able to get to the bottom of the cause of your migraines. I had cluster migraines at one point but the menopause put an end to them thank goodness.
    Take care,
    Hugs

  31. Oh, that's so cute, Darnell, and I LOVE the big sparkly frog! I have to remind myself all the time that there are no rules when it comes to whimsy. The little bear with the bunny companion is adorable, including big head and googly eyes. Everything about your card makes me smile. I'm sorry about the migraines and the carpenters. Well, maybe not the latter. It would be fun to have a bar like that in the shower, but I don't think my doctor would recommend it.

  32. Hee hee! I like your shower! And I love your fun GIANT frog that is trying to steal the show from the bear and bunny! Maybe they've been in your shower? LOVE!

  33. The critters make quite a trio. Grin. Praying your migraines ease xoxo

  34. I love your cute little froggy with the bear and his umbrella. Nothing wrong with it at all and the googlie eyes really add to both images. I'm sorry you're dealing with migraines again. They're no fun especially if you've got hammering going on too. I'm also dealing with the migraines again too. This weather whiplash is going to get to both of us.

  35. Ooh such a cute card with adorable images and it’s just perfect, sorry about your migraine hopefully it’s gone now take care xx

  36. You made me giggle with your card, Darnell. The whole design is fun and I think is even funnier when we read the whole process. Our new neighbor is renovating the house, so a lot of hammering too but not a single good-looking worker to give me migraines ! Reading your post I have the music and image of certain Coca Cola advert....hahaha. And I think that not only a bar is necessary in such a shower but a seat too ! Thanks so much for sharing, for making me laugh and for playing at ATSM. Hugs x

  40. I'm sorry that you are having issues with migraines, they are never fun as I well know. How nice to be getting a new fence too, lots of action and watching going on I'm sure. LOL What a cute card Auntie! I love this fog paper and of course I love the bear and bunny with their umbrella's. Too cute and the google eyes make them even cuter. I think in our card making world we can make anything any way we want it to be, even if it is a giant frog with a little bear and bunny. Cute sentiment and perfect for so many occasions. Got a chuckle out of the funny too! Stay well Auntie!!! Hugs, Brenda
