Hello Stamplings!
This technique was SO interesting and satisfying! Basically ... well, let me show you the photos first:

I painted the pear with markers, spritzed, and stamped. The cover plate is by Reverse Confetti.
And the same stamped in gray:

And this one uses two pieces of patterned paper:
The pp used above is ancient and in person it has a beautiful twinkly glaze:

I just love these designs and now I want to try this technique using other large stamps and cover plates. Basically, here's how it works:
- Using your Misti, stamp two card fronts with the same large image (or grouping of smaller images). Background stamps, large florals, etc., work well.
- Using a cover die, cut ONE of the stamped or pp panels.* (If desired for texture, cut more blank pieces with this same die and glue them into a stack with the stamped one on top.)
- Glue the stamped cover die-cuts onto your second stamped panel, being sure to perfectly line up the stamped patterns.
- Note: if you don't have any cover dies, use multiple small shape dies to cut the second panel and put them in place.

Definitely a technique that's new to me but the effect you got looks so cool I think I will have to try it out. :)
BEAUTIFUL samples sis! The first two use all the same supplies accept for the colors of ink and they look completely different! And what gorgeous DP you used for your third - just beautiful! I know what you mean about not much showing up on the die cut until you lay it over the stamped panel - and it just blends right into the image! Wishing you a Blessed Easter! Julia xx

Beautiful cards using this technique, Dolly!! I LOVE your spritzed pear ... so pretty. It looks cool in shades of gray too. And the patterned paper is a great with this technique. A wonderful way to make use of patterned paper that we all have stored in our craft rooms! :) xx

These are beautiful. I especially like the one using the patterned paper. I've got some paper stacks that I think might work well for this idea. I hope to give it a try, anyway. It was fun to see the different takes on the idea from the Group of Seven. They're all so talented (and, of course, that includes YOU)!
Very pretty technique, it add so much to any stamping, no matter how CAS it might be! I love all the sparklies in that paper, and I'm so glad you showed us because it was definitely trying to hide

I've always wondered how this look was achieved, and now I finally know! What a fantastic set of cards you've created with such amazing results! I just love those beautiful older papers you used on the 3rd card. Everything looks amazing and oh so pretty!
Using both colors and gray is such a unique way to show this technique and I love them both. That pattern paper is gorgeous. I do like the cover plate you used on the cards because of the dimension it has.

I LOVE that colorful pear, Darnell. The eclipse takes nothing away from your beautiful image. I had the technique figured out after seeing Bonnie and Loll's cards but your written tutorial solidified it for me so I won't have to watch the video. I just want to jump right in with my many cover plates and give it a try.

It's a pretty cool technique! I love your colors and coloring technique on the first pear. This is a nice way to use some patterned paper. I may have to rummage around in The Vast Hoard and see what I can come up with. ps: Darnell, thank you for the darling bunny card! Happy Easter!
