Hello Stamplings!
I hope this finds you skipping the light fantastic! Not sure whatever that means, but it sounds fun! There will be no skipping for those of you in states where Mr. Snowman decided he wanted to show up and play with the Easter Bunny, especially after you've been enjoying warm summery weather! Sorry.😒
Welcome to the fourth week of the month where the brief is "anything goes" on my I.D.E.A.S. calendar (see side bar). My focus this week has continued to be Easter cards. I'm scurrying to prepare for Easter hosting this year and I'll also be back on Thursday with my usual monthly Group of Seven cards, so this post will be a quick runway show. I'm sure you're busy, too, so start the music ...
My frog bunny was very popular on the last post, so he stayed on for another week! (There will be a lady in the lobby after the show to take orders for those of you who need those tenny shoes!)
All the pretties in the show today followed the famous MacGyver Method of Design, j.f., products were primarily used from my box o' bits, aka BOB. For the above card, the blended background, glossified flowers, leaves, and winked bunny were all found in BOB. I stamped and fussy-cut the clay posts and sliced openings for the inserts. The sediment was stamped and embossed in shiny copper. I actually die-cut and added the frame.
Of course, you can't see any of the shine and I'm sorry I forgot to take a closeup for you. Thankfully, you have a great imaginarium.
And a few other simple designs:
I was especially happy to find a way to stitch together these vintage floral fabric sprays with the sweet bunny on a linen background (dry clean only), surrounded by a bold cardigan in matching colors. Please note in the the catalog photo below that this design comes in several bright colors which will take you right through the summer months:
~~~
I will leave you with some delightful baby chick photos, although not the baby chicks you might be expecting for Easter!
Longtime readers will know I love to check out the nesting eagles via live cams this time of year. The website which has several live cameras watching the eagle nests can be found here: Explore.org. The above collage was made by viewer janntonne and it captures the adorable triplets at the West End Overlook of the Channel Islands in California.
BTW, if you go and check out the cameras, you will be amused to see that a pair of Canadian Geese have taken over one of the old eagle nests in Decorah, Iowa! They are nesting on six eggs!
~~~
Enjoy your day! No, seriously, enjoy! LITS!*
Stanley is saying hello from his first Easter basket! (Hammy is in there under the grass, grabbing a nap!) I wish you all a Happy Easter/Happy Spring!⛄
As always, thank you for coming by to visit the Playhouse and special thanks to you if you take the time to join as a follower! See you on Thursday!

WOW Darnell.... you have been busy making Easter cards.. they're wonderful and it's great to use some from your stash. Thanks again for your IDEAS prompt.... I'm really enjoying making cards again.. hugs Robyn
Fabulous collection of Easter cards and loved seeing the eagle chicks. Also pleased to see the bunny/frog too - so cute
Darnell you're on a roll with all these fun Easter cards. Glad to see that Stan is continuing to settle in, he's not shy of the camera! :)
You have been busy making wonderful Easter cards and each one is special and so much fun. I'd be hard pressed to choose a favorite among them, because the colors and designs are all fantastic. We have no snow here but the temps are certainly not spring-like at all. The flowers bloomed and then it turned cold again, so I'm still patiently awaiting warmer weather. Enjoy your week ahead.
Adorable Easter cards, Darnell. This challenge to yourself sure has netted US some great cards. :) Woke up to several inches of snow this morning, so we are still on the weather rollercoaster. LOL Thanks for the collage of the babies. Yay for the eagle fams. Have a great week!
Easter bunnies and chicks, oh my! Looks like BOB yielded some great Easter fun, Dolly! I love how the bunny is popping out of the flower pot! All those bright frames show off the bunny taking time to smell the flowers are such a delight! I'd forgotten about the linen paper. I need to dig it out and use it. Thanks for the reminder, my friend!
Easter bunnies everywhere Dolly! Loving them all but I think the little chickie is adorable! A great selection and you've been a very busy bunny!!
I've had a go at I.D.E.A.S this morning

- had to do something in between sneezing and coughing and spluttering! xx
Wow - you've been busy with Easter cards, Darnell - thanks for the inspiration!! Your featured bunny among the flower pots is especially darling! Thanks for sharing the eagle photos & Stanley in the Easter basket - sweet! Yes, we have snow today - just about to go out and shovel it (8.5 inches but it's already starting to melt since it's now raining!!)
Adorable cards Darnell.
That BOB of yours gave you some terrific bits for your delightful Easter cards, Darnell! Hope the snow melts away and you have a warm Easter. Hammy doesn't fool me, he's under the grass eating jelly beans for sure!
What an amazing collection of Easter cards! Too many wonderful designs to pick a favorite. I make just five Easter cards--one for each grandchild but your array of cards makes me wonder who else I could send a card to.
Awesome set of Easter cards, the bunnies and chick are all so adorable ,the flowers are beautiful! Have a blessed Easter.
Oh, my word, these are fantastic! My heart is drawn to the yellow with bunny, and all the other colors it comes in as well, but the bunny in the pot with all the Easter plantings is adorable and so is the chickie card and, oh goodness, the flowers! I've watched the eagles nesting, too. I hope all these chicks survive, but I suppose nature will have its way. Thank you for all the joy today, Darnell!
Love all your cards today, they are so cute! You
are so creative in using your "BOBS"!Happy Hosting!
That's a wonderful lineup of Easter cards. Love the bright spring colors and bunny cuteness. We are dealing with 8" of new snow here in Minneapolis, but those in the northern part of the state got even more. But, hey, it's Spring! It won't last long. Easter hugs to you, Darnell.
Another fun post Darnell with lots of fabulous Easter creations..you have certainly been busy, and I love the array of further makes below which are all brilliant! Picking a favourite would be impossible. The little eagle chicks are so cute and fun to watch them grow via the web cam. Can't image a Canada Goose using an old eagle nest, will go and have a look. I have a Christmas make for this Week 4 Anything Goes. x
You have me laughing and smiling, just what the Dr ordered! Cute cards, and I LoVe Mr Frog Bunny! He's not only handsome, but a great salesman for those tenny shoes because I REALLY need a pair! So many wonderful cards, and so many pretties out of your BOB and onto card fronts, I'm only jealous because my BOB never has anything interesting...
Adorable ... each and every card! :) Have a wonderful Easter dinner, dear friend. We will be going to one in White Rock this year. :) I'm bringing dessert ... might just have to stop at Fieldstone's too. :) xx
A lovely Spring post and gorgeous selection of cards, the watercolour one for Allsorts is lovely and so nice to have you join us, thank you. I know it's not required to choose a fav but I adore the Easter one with the yellow frame.

Oh how wonderful is this parade of Easter cards Darnell - loving all the variations in design and/or colours. Good to see you are keeping Hammy well occupied with applying schparkle.
Your Mr Frog is fabulous - especially with those shoes!
Good to see Hammy and Stanley are getting on well, even if they do get into mischief in the playhouse when you are not there/overnight :)
Blessings
Maxine
What a lot of adorable cards! Love the bright colours, and if my day wasn’t brightened enough you had frog bunny on stage again too! Xxx
Love how fresh all your cards look! Perfect for spring and Easter! As always lovely to read your post! Hugs, Gerrina
Wow such gorgeous Easter cards Darnell you have been busy! and every one is really pretty lots of hugs Sue x
I don't have to imagine because card #1 is hanging above my desk and I can see all the glitter and gloss. So darling, Darnell, and thank you for thinking of me. I made cards for the homebound but neglected my friends. BOB really came through for you and all your Easter cards are so colorful and fun. Fabric flowers? They worked well with that cute bunny ready to sniff them. Or eat them?
Thank you for presenting this wonderful gallery of beautiful Easter cards. Fun and beautiful as always.
xx
Oh thats quite a fabulous gallery of Sweet Easter cards. I too follow an eagle pair. They are in Big Bear CA, 3 eggs this year but sadly no egletts. Seems they are and every other year parents. One of two hatched last year after another year of none. Happy yours have hatched and you can watch. Its amazing.
