Hello Stamplings!
And here we are again, almost whooshed through another month! I hope you're doing well and you had a great week! Mine could have been better, what with doctor visits, a trip to the ER, a UTI, and migraines. When it rains, it pours!
In light of all that, I have simple designs for you today. Because this month has five Mondays, it's S = Stencils week on the I.D.E.A.S. Calendar. I don't use my stencils often enough, so this is good for me.

After I'd made my cards for today and had them on my desk ready to be photographed, I realized how the C.P. Skylight aqua ink matched this little box of notes I have. A little styling for my photos and a great opportunity for Hammy and Stanley to steal the show say hello!
This QACAS design is another in my goal to use my silhouette dies. The little gal and NBUS sediment are from Flourishes. I used my plain geometric stencils from back in the 1900s. Maybe even from the 70s when I made artwork to hang on the son's nursery walls. After stamping and stenciling, I added some dementia by using a dandelion e/f and a bit of matching bling finished it off.

Yes, Christmas. But wait. The great thing about card designs is that you can cock your head to the side and visualize how you might use the design for a completely different occasion. So what stencils do you have that would work as a side (or top or bottom) border? Pick your colors and away you go!
For this card I used my NBUS "Snowflake Soirèe" from The Greetery. I used CP inks in Skylight, Daydream, and Twilight. The sediment is stamped in Daydream. I removed it from its packaging years ago, so I don't know the company, but I'm guessing My Favorite Things. For punctuation, I used the stencil to add a wee snowflake.
Challenges
Christmas Kickstart: Color challenge: no red, green, or gold.

You might remember that I authored this silly (but perhaps profound?) saying a few weeks ago and my sister Diana made found it calligraphed and flowery in an antique store!
Thank you, sis!❤️

Two super duper cards using stencils - love them both. Sorry to hear you've not been feeling 100% recently - hope things improve very soon.
I really can't pick a favorite; both card designs are wonderful and aqua works so well for both of them. I love how the silhouette fits into the stenciled circle--I'm pinning that design to remember it! And, yes, it would be good for me to look through my many stencils and think about what design options there are! So sorry you had a rough week. Just one of those events would be enough to put a damper on the week. Here's to Spring--in the forecast (I'm NOT waiting patiently) and in your step this week!
I'm sorry to hear you've had a bit of a rough go of it lately, Darnell. I sure hope that things will settle down for you so that you can thoroughly enjoy the spring season. Your stenciling looks fantastic to me. You have some pretty aquas in your stash. It's always fun to get a peek at Hammy and Stanley, too!
Beautiful cards, Darnell. No stencils in my creation this week, or ever, but I'll be popping over to NBUS to join in there instead xoxo
Two very pretty cards Darnell and I love your sweet little girl silhouette die and the stencilled blue circle and the stamped flowers and little bubbles look great, and the perfect EF for the background with the dandelion and some matching bling too. The stencilled snowflakes on the second in that lovely mix of colours down the side are really beautiful, and the lovely sentiment with another little snowflake beside it finish it so well. x
What a great way to use this sweet silhouette stamp, Dolly! I believe that Hammy & Stanley are clapping along with their wave! The aqua and blue snowflakes make such a pretty border! Love the font of the sentiment! I hope you have a better week. XOXO
Two fabulous stenciled designs, Darnell, and I love your staging with Hammy & Stanley!! The circle stencil perfectly highlights your silhouette stamp on card one and I love the colors and design on card two with your snowflake border!! How fun for Diana to locate your quote in an antique store - a classic quote, illustrated so beautifully!
Holy cow, that's a lot for one week, D! I hope April brings you nothing but sunshine - and NO fools!
That little girl is such a sweetie and I'm loving that simple stenciled circle spotlight on her as much as the boys do!
Stencils... I have a few! Maybe I can sneak one in between loads? We'll see.
Have a great week, my friend!

So sorry to hear you had a rough week. Here's hoping for a happy and healthy spring! Two terrific cards, today. That little girl sure is a sweetie!
Gosh, Darnell, I don't know how you got anything done with a week like that. I hope this week is better for you! Your card with the little Flourishes girl is a beautiful piece. I always loved this silhouette, and the dandelion embossing is a stroke of genius. Really special. I also love the pretty snowflake border with the sentiment positioned just right. The little snowflake that wandered off to the side provides the perfect balance.
The little girl silhouette is just perfect for your design and background. Says spring in so many ways. Sorry you've been unwell and hope you are feeling better. Thanks for joining us at cardz4galz, Johanna DT
Two beautiful cards to close out the windy month of March. I love that you used a dandelion EF on the first card. You have a real knack for pulling out the right tools and supplies to add that special something to every card! I'm going to try my hardest to join in the stencil fun this week. If it wasn't already nearly 11 p.m., I'd go get started right now!
Two beautiful blue cards, handsomely modelled by the boys. Sorry to hear you’ve had a rough time, wishing you lots of sunshine and feeling good xxx
I love the aqua tints! And I have that same girl image! She looks great on the circle and with the embossing! At the moment the sun is out here and it finally doesn't rain every day anymore, just a few times shortly in a week, so I'm not so in the mood for winter anymore... The snowdrops and crocusses are gone, the narcisses and wild and normal hyacints and blue grapes are in bloom and the lelie of the valley and tulips are peeping out of the ground here , the magnolias bloom (so, so beautiful) and the trees and rose bushes get leaves; what a great time of the year this is... Hugs, Gerrina
Both your card’s Darnell are so lovely your silhouette is beautiful love the colour and wow what a stunning Christmas card truly like the snowflakes thank you for entering into Rudolph days challenge xx
Darnell... loving both cards! The first might be from the 70s (may of mine are!) but it is inspired with the final touch of an EF. Still figuring out the second snowflake card... I am assuming lots of masking was required. So fun! Thanks so much for sharing your creativity with Just Us Girls!
Awesome! Your Silhouette is pretty and embossing adds an extra punch! Your second, snowflake, is beautiful too and so serene in your beautiful colors. I sure hope that you are doing better now, as both health issues and be quite "the pain"!
Two fabulous cards Darnell! I like how you stenciled and embossed on the darling silhouette card and the Christmas card is great with the nontraditional colors and I like that photo with your assistants! Hope you are feeling better.
Spring time dandelions....why yes!! I love the bit of background texture that you added to your card...beautiful!! Thanks for playing along with us at CAS on Friday. You rocked our clean and simple SPRING challenge with your sweet silhoutte card!!

Beautiful stencilled Christmas design.
Thanks for joining me at the Rudolph Days Challenge.

I just love both of your cards Darnell, the embossed stencil duo is my favourite! Your Christmas card reminds me that I need to get going on mine soon! The postal strike in Canada this past Christmas gave me a bit of a head start, but as you know there is always need for a few more.
What a great idea to use the dandelion embossing folder with the girl silhouette, Darnell. It all went together beautifully. The snowflake border is delightful in all the colors and it's good to get started on Christmas cards. Thanks for sharing that one with us at Just Us Girls. Hello to Hammy and Stanley. They are so photogenic.
